Abstract
The laser Doppler technique was used for evaluation of perfusion in superficial tissue during regional anaesthesia. The multichannel laser Doppler system allows for continuous assessment of changes in the microperfusion in various places on the body surface. Effects induced by epidural administration of two drugs: local anaesthetic (Marcaine) and opioid (Fentanyl) were compared. Results show the difference in the influence of these drugs on microvascular perfusion
