Abstract
When studying EMC, which is an important aspect in machine designs, the field in the area outside of the machine is of interest. The field outside of the machine should not influence any magnetic devices. This paper presents measured and calculated results. It is concluded that under certain assumptions 2D FEM analysis is sufficient when designing or analyzing machines to meet the EMC requirements
