Abstract
Establishment of RF attenuation standard in the frequency range of 30 GHz to 50 GHz conducted in NMIJ is described. Measurement system is constructed by adopting the simple and high stable IF receiver technique using a resistive step-attenuators, as an IF attenuation reference standard operated at 30 MHz and a general-purpose receiver, as a level detector. Traceability of the system is ensured by performing periodic calibration to the IF attenuation reference standard at 30 MHz using the NMIJ Primary Attenuation Standard system based on the voltage ratio of the IVD. The dynamic range of the system is expected to be more than 80 dB.
