  • Abstract
    Asymmetric load is quite common in distribution network, the compensation of which is a serious problem under some situations. A novel integrated compensation method is put forward based on the principle of reactive power compensation. A practical formula of the balancing compensation for the unbalanced load is deduced by using the symmetrical component method, which is not only suitable for the three-phase three-wire system but also for the three-phase four-wire system. The simulation results based on MATLAB show the validity of the compensation for the unbalanced load with different connection, and verify the correctness of theoretical deduction
