Abstract
In this work, the performance of three different transmission line models included in the professional transient program ATP for a statistical study of switching overvoltages (SOV), also known as Monte Carlo study, is analyzed. The models under consideration are Bergeron, Semlyen and Marti models, which are compared to a frequency domain method based on the numerical Laplace transform and the superposition principle.
