Abstract
This paper introduces INDRA, the first maritime radar built in Indonesia. INDRA is developed to meet the need for integrated surveillance along the Indonesian coastline, which is the world´s second longest. The INDRA project is collaboration of a number of Indonesian organizations with technological support from the International Research Centre for Telecommunications and Radar (IRCTR), Delft University of Technology. INDRA is a solid-state FMCW radar and developed in 2 versions, i.e. a ship/marine radar and a coastal radar. The antenna system of INDRA employs microstrip-patch-array offset-fed reflector antennas which are here implemented for the first time in FMCW radar. The first field measurement of INDRA is scheduled to take place in July 2008.
