Abstract
A geographic information system is often used to find objects of users´ interest. It presents the users with an interface. Typically, a user interface presents a language for communication. We propose a prototype of a high level interface based on simplified relational algebra. A prototype system has been proposed. It is based on the notion of a query-by-object (QBO) approach.
