Abstract
We present a multimedia segment delivery scheme (SDS) for the simultaneous delivery of multimedia data in different data streams belonging to the same time interval. SDS employs the synchronization quality of service parameters to guarantee the simultaneous delivery for the different types of the application data streams. Without any global clock, SDS performs the synchronization recovery to preserve a high quality multimedia display. Different segment delivery schemes are addressed. The performance modeling and analysis of the SDS am also conducted. Relevant results such as the impact of the segment size, the size of the recovery buffer needed at the receiver, etc., are obtained
