  • Abstract
    In the future network scenarios, a large number of users are eager to receive multimedia service from various wireless networks. In order to effectively evolve multimedia service, MBMS(Multimedia Broadcast Multicast Service) solution is proposed in 3GPP, and multicast scheme is also taken into consideration in 3GPP2, IEEE802.11 and IEEE802.16 for making effective use of network and radio resources. In this paper, we consider the admission control scheme of multiple MBMS in heterogeneous wireless networks, as for MBMS, we also need to consider the problem of group assignment. In our algorithm, we set a threshold to divide user into proper networks according to user´s mobility and available transmission rates in different networks and assign user into proper groups taking user´s channel condition into account. Via simulation, we demonstrate the total throughput of the whole heterogeneous system and user´s dropping rate by our proposed admission control scheme.
