Abstract
In this paper, we propose a novel Kalman-alike scheme for error compensation in enhanced V-BLAST schemes. The propose method can mitigate the signal decision error caused by error propagation and improve system performance. In the method an optimal gain is obtained by minimizing the error covariance function. Then the decision signal is modified for achieving the goal of reducing BER performance. Simulations of enhanced V-BLAST with the proposed scheme are performed, and results are compared with that with the iterative detect and decoding (IDD) approach. Our simulation results show that the Kalman-alike approach can improve the system performance and also has simple computation in comparison with the IDD approach.
