Abstract
For increased accuracy of an inductosyn displacement measurement system, error compensation techniques using tabling and linear interpolation methods have been developed. The system consists of an inductosyn position transducer, an analog driving module, a digital control module configured around a microprocessor, and a display unit. The algorithm implemented was able to on-line compensate for the systematic error of the displacement measured. Experiments have shown that within a test range of 875 mm, the maximum total measurement error could be reduced from ±5.4 μm to less than ±1.0 μm
