Abstract
Polar films based on polyvinilydene fluoride (PVDF) and its copolymer P(VDF/TrFE) with trifluoroethilene (TrFE) are important functional materials for a variety of pyroelectric and piezoelectric applications including sensors and bending actuators. Operation parameters of these devices are determined by remanent polarization arisen under suitable mechano-thermo-electrical treatment. Investigations of space distribution of polar characteristics, in particular, profiles of pyroactivity distribution (PPD) are always of great importance. We performed the investigations of PVDF and P(VDF/TrFE) polar film samples of various production ("Solvay & Cie" (Belgium), "Piezotech" SAS (France), "Kureha" Chem. Ltd (Japan), "Plastpolymer" AS (Russia), "Pennwalt" Corp. (USA)) and TGS-P(VDF/TrFE) composite films (Pohl Inst, of Sol. St. Phys., Tongji Univ., Shanghai, China).
