Abstract
The laboratory test methods and equipment presented in this paper are useful for the preliminary and formal examination of microcomputer control systems for urban transport electric traction vehicles. Using these arrangements, it is possible to verify the immunity of control systems on high energy magnetic and electric field pulses and to improve their reliability. Exemplary comparative field testing of classical and modern tramway cars has shown that there is no real menace for the electromagnetic environment by the distortion of current in the feeding lines of tramways if adequate preventive measures are taken
