Abstract
This study identifies the risks to e-commerce using a diverse sample of Internet and other firms by assessing the stock market reaction to hacker attacks. The research issue is: do expert business risk assessors perceive that Internet activity and e-commerce risks per se generate an incremental risk of financial distress?.
