Abstract
Through the analysis of the characteristics of traffic flow in intersections, this paper proposes a dynamically optimized cycle time model, which is optimized form twofold-programming for signalized intersections. As a result, two optimized objects minimize vehicle delay, while effectively maximizing the flow rate in intersections. The scheme demonstrated for this model and its algorithm can be dynamically adjusted in time under the guidance of real-time flow forecasting.
