Abstract
A signal design method for UWB wireless systems is proposed. The method optimizes the time delay parameter of signals in UWB wireless systems which meet the Federal Communications Commission spectrum requirement in realistic communications environment. Analysis on the system performance with the proposed signal design is presented. The issues of the radio channel responses, the antenna characteristics, the narrow-band interference and etc. are addressed. The numerical results illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed design method
