Abstract
Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) supports services communication to integrate diverse heterogeneous applications in Service Oriented Architecture (SOA). Services composition and invocation in ESB is implemented by message transmitting and routing actually. However, current ESB framework only support static service routing, and messages can only be sent to the specified destination configured in service routing files. Besides, it is difficult to manage these services provided by applications in distributed heterogeneous environment. This paper presents a new approach by integrating ESB with UDDI Server to enable dynamic service routing. Using this approach, services can be selected and invoked at runtime. Moreover, UDDI Server can facilitate the operation of services running in ESB. The integration case based on open source ESB and UDDI implementation, i.e., Mule and jUDDI, also shows this approach is feasible.
