Abstract
This paper reviews the issues that contribute to the effective development and implementation of an asset management system for the distribution pole plant. An effective program should control the costs and reduce the risks associated with ownership of a large distribution system. Past maintenance programs may not have delivered the potential economic and system performance benefits
