  • Abstract
    Modern distance education requires the high-capacity, large throughput of video network. A good video education platform is the foundation of the remote network on-demand and live teaching. However, there is the large gap between the reality of network environment and the real-time interactive requirements of modern network teaching mode, which desires real-time and continuous transmission of a large number of audio & video streaming, in order to achieve real-time playback of course teaching, online courses in video on demand (VOD), interactive discussions in online classroom. This paper carried out the modern cognitive science research and the analysis of characteristics of online teaching, and proposes a new model of real-time interactive and network-oriented teaching architecture based on the P2P streaming media technology. Thereafter, the Real-time Interactive Net-classroom (RTINC) infrastructure is advanced. The preliminary instance based on the above-mentioned model has dynamic load-balancing features, good adaptation and expansion performance, the smaller building and maintenance costs and other potential advantages.
