Abstract
In this paper, we optimize the link-level performance and the complexity of floating-point and fixed-point designs for IEEE 802.16e OFDMA/TDD mobile modem. For the traffic channel, we propose efficient methodologies for optimized fixed-point design from floating-point model. Furthermore, we propose efficient algorithms for time and frequency synchronization. Tradeoffs between performance and complexity are balanced through exhaustive computer simulations
