Abstract
This paper is aimed at using the visible light spectrum and frequencies close to it for wireless communication purposes. The idea is to do away with the unit involved in generating a carrier signal for each modulation technique; instead, it is more feasible to use the most abundant entity provided to us by the Sun - in layman´s terms “the light”. By doing so, not only can the carrier generator unit be dispensed with, but the cost of sustenance of such a system can be brought down to almost nil - a constant source of energy, for every message bit being communicated, need not be provided; all that needs to be done is to just absorb, modify and emit the photons.
