Abstract
The wavelet transform provides a hierarchical structure that enables processing image data in the compressed wavelet domain. In this paper we propose a method to perform image compression and target detection simultaneously. We incorporate a two parameter constant false alarm rate detector into a wavelet-based image compression algorithm and achieve the joint compression and detection
