Abstract
Switch mode power supplies have become the major source in the deterioration of our electromagnetic environment. This paper aims to investigate, in general terms, the issue of electromagnetic interference (EMI) in switch mode power supplies (SMPSs). The paper also points out the sources and causes of radiated and conducted emission in SMPS. In addition, this paper proposes a simulation method to determine the level of radiated and conducted noise produced by SMPSs.
