  • Abstract
The feasibility of using narrow-spectral-linewidth DFB lasers as analog sources used in optical heterodyne FM converters is shown based on the degradation modes. There is no change in the dynamic properties, such as FM response, CSO, and CTB, while spectral linewidth increases.
