Abstract
Several types of widespread battery chargers have been investigated in the laboratory. A continuous harmonic current monitoring activity has been performed with a custom power system in order to capture the time-varying characteristics of harmonic absorption due to battery chargers´ typical duty-cycle. Finally, by using a novel method based upon laboratory tests, some curves have been proposed which allow the prediction of their voltage distortion impact at the point-of-common coupling (PCC) in the presence of attenuation phenomena
