  • Abstract
    This paper studies the evolution of the multipactor discharge inside a parallel-plate waveguide partially loaded by a dielectric slab. The effect of static charges on the dielectric surface as well as of induced charges on the metallic plates are included. Results demonstrate that breakdown can be self-extinguishing, however, after passing through a saturation state.
