Abstract
Based on the analysis of the performance requirements for movable power station, homopolar inductor alternator is chosen in pursuit of high reliability and high power density. A new method called one-side analysis for investigation into homopolar inductor alternator is presented firstly in this paper. The influence of varied shapes and dimensions of rotor slot on waveform of no-load airgap flux density is analyzed. Some design characteristics of homopolar inductor alternator are discussed.
