  • Abstract
    We have demonstrated 210 bit/s (10.7 Gbit/s/spl times/21 WDM) transmission over 1200 km with ultra long repeater spacing of 200 km with proper dispersion management together with Raman amplifier and EDFA for the festoon type undersea cable network. We obtained a Q-factor for all channels greater than 15.6 dB.
