Abstract
This paper presents an analysis of Body Area Network (BAN) composed of up to nine on-body antennas, when the body is running in a street. The modelling of wearable antennas in BANs has been separated into antennas in the vicinity of the body (full wave simulations), including body dynamics (taken from motion capture analysis), and the environment (clusters of scatterers). When switching between four on-body antennas instead of using a single one, the reduction of average transmitted power can reach 5 dB.
