Abstract
We present an optimized joint source and channel bit allocation approach for achieving better video constructed quality subject to a given bits consumption, by exploiting data partitioning and LDPC. We assign different bits of forward error correction to data partition with different priority by jointly considering the source and channel distortion with hill climbing search algorithm. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed scheme achieves excellent tradeoff between video delivery quality and bit consumption and yields significant PSNR improvement.
