Abstract
We employ a model based on recently proposed theoretical approaches to study optical properties of photonic crystals for the case of periodic three-dimensional nano-structured polymers. Such a system can be obtained by controlling aggregation of polymeric core-shell particles into an aqueous solution while they coalesce by drying. Using a 3D periodic array of spherical particles we study a correlation between geometrical parameter and optical resonant frequencies.
