  • Abstract
    According to the characteristics of domestic sewage water quality, PTFE pipe was chosen as the selected heat exchanger material by the comparison of metal and plastic materials, in order to overcome the main problems of the application of the heat exchanger in the sewage. The plastic heat exchanger as the research object, this paper analyzes the growth characteristics of fouling which is produced when the plastic heating exchangers are immersed in domestic sewage. The results show that PTFE could satisfy the use requirement of intensity and heat transfer. Plastic pipe has obvious advantages in corrosion-resistant, anti-fouling, and the investment price. Plastic pipe was a ideal material for making the heat exchanger.
