  • Abstract
    With various building dielectric parameters, simulation results obtained using a ray-tracing method for both the narrowband and wideband indoor channel characterisation are presented. Effects of different building dielectric parameters on the channel characteristics are shown for the same building in terms of the predicted path-loss and RMS delay spread (τrms) of the channel impulse response. Simulation results demonstrate that channel τrms is more sensitive to the building dielectric parameters compared with the path-loss characteristic. This indicates that the information on building dielectric parameters with higher accuracy is required for indoor channel τrms prediction.
