Abstract
A description is given of a system called ACS (Assistant for Class Scheduling), which utilizes a knowledge-based approach to class scheduling. This system is implemented with OPS5. ACS utilizes the knowledge of an expert human scheduler to generate a class schedule. To enhance the input efficiency and output readability of the system, an I/Q interpreter written in C can be invoked separately.<>
