Abstract
With the global climate change and impact of human activities on water resources, ecological security problems of water have attracted increasing attention. Based on investigation and study of ecological security situation of water resources in Shandong province, many problems are found out. For example, deteriorating water quality, excessive exploitation of ground-water, serious intrusion of sea water, draught-up of some river sections, soil erosion, disordered development and utilization of water and low awareness of environmental protection, et al, which seriously affect the ecological security problems of water in Shandong. Thus, many countermeasures are putting forward to solve these problems, such as strengthening the water management and strictly controlling the water pollution; establishing the ecological compensation mechanism in the basin; formulating comprehensive plans and remediation project for basins; promoting publicity and reports on environmental protection, raising environmental awareness among the general public; carrying out ecological security survey and strengthening the ecological security mechanism of water, et al.
