Abstract
This paper presents a square-rooting circuit supporting both the voltage and current input signals. The realization method is based on the use of a characteristic of MOS-translinear principle. The proposed circuit is simple, small in size, and suitable for fabrication using CMOS technology. PSPICE simulation results verifying the performances of the proposed circuit are in close agreement with the calculated values.
