  • Abstract
    It is important to study the ionic structure of NdF3-LiF-Nd2O3 melts. In this paper, dissolution mode of O2- in LiF-NdF3 melts in which the concentration of NdF3 was lower than 20mol% was studied by cryoscopic method. It was thought that O2- dissolved as the equation: NdF4 -+ O2- +F- = 3D NdOF5 4- with Flood model on the basis of hypothesis of ideal mixing of the ions in the melts.
