Abstract
We report in this paper an experiment conducted to evaluate the ability to express emotions of a mobile robot. Via the experiment, we show that a robot with musical-related motions could convey quite well its emotions to human, even better with appropriately accompanying music. Moreover, the result obtained suggests that even without facial expression, a robot could communicate quite well its emotion to human if its motion is well designed.
