Abstract
This paper reviews and compares progress in geographic information standardization. The result shows that both international and national standardization organizations are all focusing more and more on standardization of geographic information services, instead of geographic data. Based on the comparison analysis, this paper considers and suggests countermeasures on working mechanism and theoretical content deployment of national geographic information standardization.
