Moving towards low carbon ecological city: Investigate the developmental situation in China´s first group of low carbon city

As the primary energy consumer and the main source of carbon emissions, the city has focused on low carbon. Constructing a low carbon ecological city is necessary to achieve sustainable development. This paper describes the meaning, the types and the international trends of low carbon ecological city. Then, the developmental situation of China´s first group of low carbon city is investigated and analyzed in Dongtan, Baoding, Tianjin and so on. Based on these researches, the key points are given on how to move towards low carbon city.
