  • Abstract
As ubiquitous antenna system that is a combination of RoF technologies and broadband optical transmission technologies, RoF-DAS over WDM-PON has been proposed. In this system, WDM is used to multiplex RoF links for many BSs and uses optical TDM to multiplex antenna at a BS and heterogeneous wireless services. The system can transparently transport various types of wireless services to BSs and provide the flexibility for non-uniform traffic distribution and user mobility. This paper experimentally demonstrates MIMO RF signals transmission in the system, theoretically investigates optical beat noise that arises during the process of optical TDM and proposes a method for its reduction.
