Abstract
This paper presents a parameter identification and database management system for power system components including generators, excitation systems, prime mover and governor systems and loads. The system consists of three parts as follows: (1) data acquisition subsystem; (2) parameter identification subsystem; and (3) database management subsystem. Detailed system construction is given. On-line measurement schemes are proposed. Identification methods of different model structures are introduced. Database interfaces with other power system computation software and an example of stabilizing computation based on the identified parameters are included.
