Abstract
Artificial intelligence (AI) is a growing and demanding subject in most information technology (IT) faculties. This in turn makes it a nominated topic for an e-learning development. Such development is a challenging one that requires a more powerful approach to show an e-learner what AI concepts are. In this paper we present our experience in developing a course entitled "Fundamentals of Artificial Intelligence". The development was under the Avecenna Virtual Campus project (539INT2000), Philadelphia University, Amman, Jordan, acting on behalf of and for UNESCO
