Abstract
In this paper, a joint spectrum sensing and user selection strategy based on energy detection through data fusion is investigated, considering the weight vector, the sensing time and the optimal user set. The optimal sensing time and the weight vector for data fusion are calculated by equivalent transformation algorithm. Moreover, the user selection strategy based on Modified Deflection Coefficient (MDC) with low complexity is proposed, from which the optimal number and the user set are obtained to provide sufficient protection to the primary user and improve the total throughput of the cognitive radio network. The simulation results show that the optimal number of cognitive radios and maximal normalized sensing throughput can be obtained by the proposed method.
