  • Abstract
Heterogeneous mobile wireless sensor networks can have mobile nodes with different speed and mobility patterns combined with fixed sensor nodes. These networks can be deployed for the surveillance of large and critical areas, such as hydropower or water treatment stations. The mobile nodes can vary from internal tactic robots to higher speed terrestrial vehicles, through to aquatic and aerial vehicles. This paper presents a routing solution for a heterogeneous mobile WSN, composed of fixed and mobile nodes, with different mobility models. The solution is based on the selection of cluster-heads, which use classification mobility levels to deliver data to the sink. The solution is compared to other solution using the SiNAlgo simulator. Results show that our solution is efficient in terms of overhead messages, and transmitted data packets.
