  • Abstract
This paper proposes a methodology for modeling microwave devices based on Genetic Algorithms (GA). This technique allows electromagnetic parameters be related to the physical dimensions of device, making it easier to perform adjustment to obtain a certain response. To demonstrate the validity, the method was applied in double-H resonator bandpass filter and results were then compared with those offered by traditional full-wave simulators. This filter was then fabricated and measured in the Microwave Laboratory of the Department of Electronics and Systems, UFPE and experimental results were compared with simulated.
