  • Abstract
Based on theory of operating speed, considering the operating speed value and limited-speed value as the controlling parameter of Speed Bumps Design input and output, along with the related regulations in Human Factors Engineering as vibration acceleration reasonable interval value criterion, this thesis proposed two kinds of applicable speed range of AB speed bumps and illustrated the whole design process specifically. It can lay a foundation for design of speed bumps´ specific shape dimension, reasonable layout and supporting facilities. The research has been applied in Chongqing. The practice shows that this method can guide pavement speed bumps design and can be applied in other areas in China.
