Abstract
Three known use-based allocation methods for payments of electricity transmission systems are compared. They are the Bialek tracing method, the Kirschen proportionality method and the Rudnick distribution factor method. Main characteristics of the methods are summarized. A numerical comparison is performed. Results do not allow concluding which one is the best, as it is not possible to demonstrate the validity of the key principles that support each of the methods.
