Abstract
In the paper the different control and measuring devices, which are applied at the stage of system tuning has been considered. Any system develops in stages. As for cellular systems, they require planning, expansion, control and tuning of Quality of Service (QoS) where different control and measuring devices are normally used. In cellular systems several stages of development are distinguished, of which the main ones are cell planning, coverage analysis (system requirements), and system tuning. Two methods of analysis of coverage area in cellular systems of the GSM standard are considered. These methods are based on the use of hardware and software control and measuring devices. Both methods are mainly applied to tune and optimize GSM cellular systems
