  • Abstract
To provide an accurate guidance to urban building landscape is based on the premise that the evaluation of urban building landscape is full-scale and accurate. The Google Earth we used in this paper as a kind of data collection method has many advantages, Such as low cost, accurate information, convenient operation, etc. This paper takes Wuhan city as a case. Firstly, dividing the whole city proper into 45 work zones; taking the red line of roads, fences, the border of large waters and green space as boundaries to divide every work zone into many building units; measuring each unit. Then choose 6 indicators, and grade them and assign values to each grade. According to these indicators, we evaluate each unit. After that, we can get the evaluation result. The result demonstrates that the mainly representative of urban building landscape of Wuhan city is lower-middle building landscape. We expect this result of evaluation will provide a realistic basis for the building landscape planning and development of Wuhan city in the future.
